Self Improvement
Worried about what other people thing of you?
As a life coach, this is a common issue that I hear again and again in coaching sessions with my clients.
Many of us fear being scrutinised, judged and criticised. And even if we can’t hear it we second guess others and decide that that is what they are doing.
One thing I know for sure is that we cannot actually know what other people are thinking if they don’t tell us. To spend, or maybe it would be more appropriate to say ‘waste’, time, effort and energy, imagining we know what other people are thinking really is rather ridiculous.
Yet so many people do this.
What does it tell us? Firstly, that there is an inherent sense of lack of self worth in the person who has these thoughts, which is worth addressing and changing, since it really does drain a person mentally and emotionally.
And secondly, that very possibly, the person with these thoughts is judgemental and critical of others!!
Instead of wasting your thoughts and emotions on such negative and destructive thinking, take stock of what causes you to think and feel this way and do something about it for yourself. You will benefit the most if you can reach a point in your life where you feel good about yourself to the point where you can let go of worrying what others think of you.
I know how it feels, I’ve been there too and I also know you can change this.
Whether you choose to work with me or find other resources to help you get there, it’s worth doing something about this, and it will free you up to focus your mind and attention on more useful things in your life.

As a life coach, who works constantly with people who want to go further and do more in their lives, I love these stories of people who achieve things beyond our expectations!
This one is about a 91 year old man who started body building at the age of 87!!
Charles Eugster, in this article in The Guardian, in his own words: ”At 85 I had a crisis. I looked at myself in the mirror, and saw an old man. I was overweight, my posture was terrible and there was skin hanging off me. I looked like a wreck.”
And in this article in The Express, you can read about his amazing achievements and the sports medals he’s won since he started just a few years ago.
I know it can take a lot of effort to make a massive change in your life, I know it can be easy to relax and sit back at the end of each day, and be a “couch potato” and let life go by, effortlessly.
And yet, I also know, that many of us do have the choice, freedom and ability to push ourselves to achieve something outstanding for ourselves; we can be motivated to do more and feel so much better; and what is our life all about if not to feel better and more fulfilled.
Some of us can do it alone, some of us can benefit from external help, from personal training to life coaching, you choose who you want to work with, what you want to achieve and the level of support you need.
There’s no limit to what women are achieving at 40+
I came across this article about a lady in the USA called Laura London and she really is an inspiration!!
At 45, and only 5’2″, married for 20 years, with three children, she totally changed her appearance in a year!!
I’ve made loads of changes in my life and I know how challenging it can be, and how much determination and commitment one needs. I also know it’s really worth the effort.
If one woman can, so can we all.
Don’t be one of those people who just “settle” for what life serves them on a plate; take charge of your life, know what you want, and make it happen!!
Yours,
Natalie Dee
