A Common Life Coaching Topic – Fear of Being Judged


Have you ever wondered who you would be and what you would do in your life, if you did not fear being judged?

Most people I’ve met, both through my work as a life coach, and generally in life, tell me (sometimes directly and at other times indirectly) how their lives are restricted because of their fear of being judged; this feeling is as common as is eating breakfast first thing in the morning.

The story is almost the same, or variations of the following: when I was little, maybe 5 or 6 years old, my teacher (parent or primary carer) made fun of me and ever since then I’ve felt judged, not good enough.

The first time we experience this feeling, however long ago, is as impactful as if it happened yesterday; the feeling is so strong, so powerful, that it’s like a deep scar that always leaves its mark, it’s so deeply ingrained that it never goes away.

The problem is that, even though this may have happened over 25, 30 or 40+ years ago, we still behave and react as if it happened only yesterday.

Ever wondered how your life would be different if you no longer felt the fear of being judged?

You can change this and at the same time your confidence will naturally increase and any anxiety you experience will decrease to some degree and as a result of all this change you may find yourself living your life the way you really want to be living it!

This is about making a personal transformation in your life, a major fundamental shift.  Can you really afford not to do this?  Do you really want to live your life exactly as you are today?  Because unless you bring about a major change, your life will continue to be exactly as it is today, which is almost exactly as it was yesterday and last week, and will be tomorrow, next month and most likely next year.
