Life Coaching with Natalie, FAQs
There are many questions that people have asked me over again about life coaching, so to help whilst browsing I’ve included a few of these on this page.
If your question is not answered here, you can either call or email me.
All the best, Natalie
How often do I need to have coaching sessions?
Personally, I recommend a coaching session once every two weeks; I find that the time in between is hugely valuable for my clients, it gives them time to assimilate and apply the various thoughts and ideas they’ve discussed during the session.
How many coaching sessions do I need to have?
Although there is no hard and fast rule regarding the number of coaching sessions any person may decide to have, I tend to find that my clients achieve clear focused results in 6 to 12 sessions.
Do I need to meet with you face-to-face or can you coach me over the phone?
As strange as it may seem, I have worked with as many people over the phone, without ever meeting them, as I have face-to-face. And, the coaching process has been just as effective with as much success for my telephone clients as for those I actually meet.
So, the choice is yours, if it’s easier and more time-effective (and potentially cost-effective) to have your coaching sessions on the phone, try it, you’ll be surprised at how convenient it is!
Will you be giving me advice and telling me what to do?
A coach does not give advice or tell you what to do; my job is to facilitate you achieving your goals by challenging you and giving you the opportunity to explore your options in a way that is different to how you have done it until now.
Will I have to do things in between the coaching sessions?
That will be entirely up to you.
Some people use the coaching to focus on specific tasks to achieving their goal and enjoy the accountability to me as their coach, because it motivates them to complete these tasks.
Others use the time in between the coaching to contemplate and allow the changes to occur naturally.
What can I expect to happen during and after the coaching process?
This does depend on what you’ve set yourself to achieve using coaching.
In principle, my clients find that the coaching helps them to really think through a situation in their life or business that is not quite working in the way they want it to.
When their perception and interpretation of their situation begins to change, they come up with new ideas and solutions.
They also tend to feel happier and more relaxed about the situation and any stress or intensity is dramatically reduced, enabling greater choices and therefore success.
Bottom line for most people is to be happier and more in control of their own emotions and their life; most of my clients achieve this during the time we’ve worked together.
