Confidence Crisis at 40
Many women are very worried about approaching or turning 40.
In the Daily Mail on 30th June 2011, the results of a survey carried out by Clarivu Total Vision Correction shows that many women found that their weight, their appearance and their general sense of self-confidence and self-esteem changed when they reached their 40s.
And that by the age of 46 they feel that they become “invisible to men” and although the survey also indicated that this seems to change again when a woman is in her 50s, do we really need to feel bad about our age at all, at any time in our lives?
Many of my clients are women approaching 40 or in their early 40s; they have so many wonderful things going for them in their lives and their focus and belief is on something that has no substance in our lives today.
We live longer, we have more choices and lots more resources than ever to be healthier, fitter and younger than ever before.
If our beliefs create our reality, therefore our outcomes, women do have the choice to believe or view their 40s in a different light and have a better, more positive and more enhancing experience of this time of their lives.
