Taking Care of Myself
There are those very long days when it’s almost ALL work… yes, I have them too!
I know how important it is to relax, to de-stress; it’s good for me, for my well-being, for my on-going functioning and performance.
On the very rare occassion, when I’m very tired and it’s been an exceptionally long day, I will indulge in a hot, bubbly bath, a few drops of lavendar or some other aromatherapy oil, candles, soft music in the background and a hot cup of herbal tea.
I make sure all my phones are turned off, to avoid any disturbance to the wonderful space and the peace I want to create for myself.
I let myself “melt” into the water, and it seems to have a relaxing effect both on my body and my mind.
Afterwards, I go straight to bed and I find I always have the most calm and restful sleep.
For me, this works wonders and helps to boost my energy and bring me back to top form from time to time.
