Change Your Thinking

How can you change your thinking?
Think about the language you use the, words you use to describe how you feel and what you think.
NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming focuses on our use of language, amongst other things, and if we can start to notice the language we use, we can easily impact some of our responses and behaviours to situations in our lives.
One of the simplest changes you could make is with “negative” language.
If you hear yourself using “negative” language, for example, “I don’t want to go to that restaurant” or “I’m so drained“, you can start by rephrasing these sentences in your own mind and hopefully out loud too. For example “I’d like to go to this restaurant” and “I’m a little tired.”
We act according to what we are telling ourselves; using more positive language, phrases, less extreme adjectives, will help you moderate how you feel and eventually, it will help you to feel even better in many situations.
The more we experience “good” feelings, through our positive thoughts and words, the more we feel good in ourselves.
All the best,
Natalie Dee

Yes Natalie thank you for sharing this with us. Positive thinking is very important and can make difficult tasks which seem impossible, possible.
Hi Loy
Yes, I do this myself too, and it seems to reduce the emotional ‘intensity’ sometimes by using differnet language.
Glad you find the blogs useful.
Appreciate your feedback.
