Success – What Do I Need to Change?

People talk about success, about being successful in their lives, in their careers or with their families, friends or hobbies.

For each of us success is very individual; what is important and an achievement for one person is very different for another.

My life coaching clients measure success by comparing themselves to themselves, by looking at where they are at in their lives, where they want to be, and what they need to do to get there.

By becoming clear about what they want, they find it is easier to work towards that goal and to set a plan of action, and to have clear and defined steps along the way.

Each step achieved is a success in itself and each success makes a person feel good about themselves, and this tends to drive and motivate people to progress to the next level.

Think about this, and ask yourself: “What do I need to change to bring about success for me in my life?”

And link this to thinking about what you want to do differently, better or something completely new.

Combined, you can start creating a plan for moving forwards, moving towards that place you want to get to, whether you decide you want to work with a life coach, or do this on your own.

Whatever you eventually achieve, what is important is that you are challenging yourself, demanding of yourself and moving… all of this makes for a more interesting life, which in itself is a form of success.

Using life coaching sessions to work on your interpretation of success, is an ideal space for you to have time to think; many of my clients have found that working with their own personal life coach makes it so much easier and clearer for them to focus on themselves in a constructive, practical and useful way.
