How Can I Become More Confident
There are many of us that have particular areas in our lives that we are not confident with, and having a low self-esteem can be socially crippling and make people very unhappy. It’s therefore incredibly important to boost your self-esteem and feel confident and good about yourself. This can be a tricky task but it is absolutely possible. Here are a few steps to help you begin the process.
1. Discover your own talents and strengths
When looking at your own talents and strengths, it is important to dig very deep. Grab a piece of paper and begin to write down any and all of your talents or strengths, no matter how small. Write down everything you can think of, you can ask your trusted friends what they believe your talents to be. Write down everything as even your smallest strengths can be incredibly powerful! Keep this list somewhere safe, revisit it and re-read it regularly.
2. Build on your talents and strengths
Building on your talents and strengths will greatly increase your self confidence. Maybe there are talents on your list you never realized you had. Build on these and work on making them even stronger because in time you will become an expert and people will come to you because of it.
3. Visualize
Spend time each day visualizing yourself being a very confident person. When you do this regularly, you are reprogramming your subconscious from the false beliefs it had before thus freeing yourself of the bonds of negative thinking. When you are no longer full of negative thoughts you will find that you are much happier and filled with confidence.
4. Find others with your same talents and strengths
If you are around people that you don’t have a lot in common with, it can feel rather uncomfortable. This is often unavoidable at times, but if you surround yourself with people who share your common interests, then this can help you feel more confident more of the time.
