The Definition of Age From Someone Who IS Aged
The joy of writing blogs is the lovely interaction I get from family, friends, clients and contacts in response to the various topics I write about.
To follow on from my blog on 2nd September The Definition of Age From a Life Coaching Perspective, a very special family friend shared with me her own definition of age, which I’d like to share with you.
The definition of age from someone who is that little bit older:
- your spine begins to lean forward, so remember to keep your it up straight – you don’t want your nose getting there before you do, it might crash into a door!
- age is tiring, but making an effort with kids is beneficial. If you don’t have grandkids, get someone else’s so you can schlepp them places, sweat your guts out and feel good about yourself. If you’re lucky that will even LOVE you for it.
- Age requires 10 hours sleep. Go to bed early so you wake up with “tighter” wrinkles. They will collapse as they day progresses but at least the mornings will look promising.
From my perspective as a life coach, the key ingredient for whatever age you’re at is to keep your sense of humour; if we can smile and laugh at ourselves and life in general, what does it matter how old we are, so long as we are happy.
